Should receive all city initial comments as a package soon. ODOT provided first comments before Thanksgiving. Consultants are wrapping up answering questions and modifying plan sheets. Round 2 will be scheduled soon. TriMet procurement is advancing contracting possibilities and consulting with the FTA and should have an update about that next time.)
- Final plans review [January 2023]
- Construction contract out for bids [February 2023]
- Notice to Proceed (NTP) for construction contract [late March 2023]
- Potential start date and construction duration at SE 79th. Contractor will determine schedule, TriMet will ask to prioritize. [Summer 2023]
– FX-2 Division Bus – The green bendy buses have been recalled temporarily due to a mechanical issue. TriMet announced on 1/17/23 that they will be back in service “in a few weeks or so.” From their press release: “Before then, you may see the big green buses running along the route but not picking up riders as our operators get some refresher training. We pulled our FX buses from service back in November after finding an issue with bolts becoming loose, which led to an industry-wide recall. Nova Bus identified a solution. After 8 weeks of extensive testing and analysis of it, they’re now installing the fix on our buses.”
– Mt. Tabor Maintenance Yard project updates. The webpage was last updated December 2022.
– January updates from the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability and ways to engage on citywide projects.
