Powell Blvd (and other streets) trash pickup a success!

Our South Tabor Neighborhood had a trash pickup on Powell Blvd and other streets on March 26th. I’m going to tell you, the volunteers rocked it! They covered 4.5 miles of streets and picked up approximately 60 bags of trash! Not only that, but we got in some recycling too. About 3 bags of glass, 2 bags of plastics, and filled half of a blue recycling bin with mixed recycling. And 2 Xmas trees were cut up and disposed of in a yard debris bin. We also safely disposed of several sharp objects. I want to say a big THANK YOU to our sponsors and donors and the businesses that helped us out: Dr Jonathan Roxas DDS, State Farm agent Donna Tallman, Starbucks, Grand Central Baking, Rudy’s Gourmet Pizza, SOLVE, Metro, Dutch Bros, and The Porch. They all helped us to put on a great event!
